I'm finally in Japan! This last week has been INSANE!! Okay, so starting off Tuesday we had another apostle come talk to us. But I lowkey fell asleep, that is so my bad. We also said goodbye to all the Elders in the District #sosad
. They are great missionaries!
Wednesday was a long day. We got up around 2:40 am, packed up the rest of our stuff and headed to the MTC travel office. We TURNED IN OUR PHONES and chargers and headed to the airport. Since we left so early the bus and trains don't run, so we got to ride in shuttles to the airport. We are so lucky fr. Then we got the airport around 4-5 am ish and sat at our gate. Our flight left Salt Lake at like 8 am and we landed in LAX. We had like a 3 hour layover so we did a bunch of stuff (not really). I had to ask someone what the time was cause I literally couldn't find it anywhere. Then we got on our flight to Tokyo. The flight was like 12 hours and I got such a good seat. I was bad and I watched Mulan and all the nature documentaries. But I didn't really sleep. The plane food was lowk buns too. Except they had such a good chocolate chip cookie. We landed boring boring boring. We got our cards. Forgot what it's called but yay! My picture looks so chopped though. Then we barely got to say goodbye to the Tokyo North missionaries before running off to send our bags with the shipping company and catch our last flight. We got all that done and got through security again. Our next flight was 6-7ish pm. At this point, it's Thursday already so that was insane. We got on our last flight and we all fell asleep before it look off and at the end they were like sorry for the delay. None of us knew so that was kind of funny. We get off and trek through this airport. Japanese airports are so huge for literally no reason. We make it to the front where President Sano and Sister Sano were waiting for us! We got in their car and they took us to McDonald's and it was lowkey buns. The mayo was so bad. But we talked with some nihonjins and did jikoshokai. Then we finally made it to the mission home and we went straight to bed.
Lowkey worst sleep of my life. I just kept waking up a lot. Then we got up went to the church and played games, ate breakfast and had orientation. We mogied baptism with a native and it was so scary. It went fine not my best work, but not my worst so yay! Then we went streeting. We stopped so many people I could only pick up a few words but that's better then none
It was cold and I didn't have a coat and one of the members gave me theirs it was very nice.
We went on a "hike". It was literally just up hill on roads to a park but it was so beautiful! Then we came back and met our trainers. The mission home is an old gangs house. So its traditional and huge. We walked around there and then did this whole thing for meeting our trainers. They close this big door (the trainer on the other side) and then ask you questions pertaining to your area so for me it was do you love primary kids? And I was like omg yes. Then it was, do you love mountains? I said no. Then you knock on the door and your trainer runs out. It was fun.
I'm in ๆฉๆฌ!((ใฏใใใจ) Hashimoto)) it's basically countryside. Then I had to say goodbye to my wonderful MTC companion, Sister Glassey

so sad. She is going to such an awesome place with an awesome comp, so yay!
But our area is huge. Like I could go down to the coast if I really wanted to. So after I met Sister Anderson we came to our area. We had to take like six different trains to get here but it was so chill. The views are insane. We finally got to Hashimoto and let me tell you, Sister Anderson is cracked at cooking. Everything is so good. Then we taught two eikaiwa classes. Which is English class. It was so fun!
Then we had church. I woke up and I got a text saying, yay you are testifying at Sacrament Meeting. So I'm stressing all morning figuring out what I'm going to say. I finally picked Alma 32:41 yay! So we get to church and we greet everyone. They all are so cute and super nice. They looked very happy to see me and talk to me. Oh my gosh, I forgot to say. We have someone on baptism date here!!!

He is 68 and such a good guy and he came to Sacrament Meeting. Then it starts blah blah blah. I'm first. And I go up and I say sorry my Japanese is bad but lets go. ็งใฎๆฅๆฌใฏใใใใงใ。ใงใใใใพใใใ!During it I made them laugh so that's a bonus. I said faith is like a seed it grows. And yeah. After Sacrament, everyone was like you are so cute.

Like that was very good. The pianist came up to me and said you are so cute we are going to be best friends. ใ ใใใใงใ!Then we had a lesson with our friend and I said one line, Jesus created the earth. And then I lowkey fell asleep. I felt really bad but there were nihonjins in there helping us teach so it was chill kind of. Then we talked after church with everyone and came home.
We ate and I lowkey napped then did a bunch of missionary things and had so many calls, one being a mogi with members. I had to teach basically all of it. So scary. I chose Joseph Smith and it was so chill. Sister Anderson only had to help a few times. Then after they give feed back and they said they could understand me and the loved how smiley I am and how happy I am to teach the gospel. Mind you they have to be like 60-70. They are so awesome. I was lowkey making them laugh the whole time #score!
Now its lowkey Monday wow. We went to an inactive members house and they showed us all the things they had. At one point we change rooms and only me and my comp are on this couch. They have speakers facing us and a bunch of cd players by our side. He asks do you like classical music and we were like omg yes we do. He picks his favorite and we sat there through the whole song while they watched us. It was chill but a little weird. Since the husband isn't a member we said can we practice our Japanese with you. He said yes, yay! But we were like we only really know church words sorry. So we would say a sentence and they would correct us and bruh a lot of words they taught us at the MTC they do not say. So bruh they kept stopping us telling us better words to use. So very helpful. At the end he told me my Japanese was pretty and that they could understand me. Which is a huge blessing.
Then we went to the train, got groceries and now I'm back home yay! As we were walking we past a group of middle schoolers, they said to each other American! So I turned around and was like wow ใใใซใกใฏใฟใชใใ!!! Jikoshoukai?!?!?! And they were like omgomgomgomg wowowowo. So we all went around introducing ourselves and it was so fun. They are going to cram school so that's fun.
Guys fr Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ are my best friends. Literally they know each and everyone perfectly, like what. If you sincerely pray and read your scriptures they will bless your lives. As I've been in Japan (and I know its only been a few days) the love I have for these people is insane. Like before coming here I knew they were real but seeing them just live their lives it really is just like wow! Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ really love us. As I've watched people (woah not in a weird way though) they all are so individual and so funny. Which like duh, we are all different. But I just see them as like my family and I genuinely just want to love everyone. Like what do you mean my job right now is just to talk to everyone I see and try to invite them to Christ -- like I love my life. Every person deserves the gospel and literally I can't wait to share it. Read your scriptures! Pray, God loves you so much and will answer your questions!
Listen to this song! Its my favorite!!
Consider the Lilies
Okay! Bye everyone! LOL I'm so sorry this is so long fr. Next week it will be so chill. Also imagine being at the MTC still ahahaha.
(I'm still trying my best everyday, and trying to talk to everyone I see. The Lord will magnify me yay!)
ใใฌใคใทๅงๅฆน!!!
