MARCH 7, 2026 -- I'M GOING TO JAPAN!!

Hello everyone!!! 

This my last email from America!! Isn't that insane. Cause it's insane to me. 

I got all my flight and travel plans and I leave bright and early at 3:30am, Wednesday, March 11, 2026. First flight at 7 am and then I leave for Japan. This week has been a really good week. We did a lot of mogis we finished lesson three and started lesson four.  And boy lesson four in Japanese is hard lol. So many things to talk about but I just don't have the vocabulary for it (yet). 

One thing I'm getting better at is doing mogis with no notes. Honestly having notes is harder then without them. But without notes you actually teach from the heart and that's what will touch peoples lives. 

This week we had an amazing devotional and one thing I loved was -- fear not to do good. When we were on the bus riding home from the Temple last Saturday, me and my companion didn't really talk to anyone. Looking back I'm literally a missionary.  That is my job -- literally. I'm not scared to talk to people, but that little statement just made me realize I need to be so much better. 

I'm about to go to a country where I can barely speak the language, and the people talk literally so fast. What I can do is use the little I know to do good. Even if it is just my example. My teachers keep saying -- wow you guys are ready to leave. But I really do love it here at the MTC. (The food and room situation aren't my favorite, but I'll look past that). Everyone here is so awesome and I'm going to miss all the friends I have made. I know in past emails I've said I'm going to miss the friends who are leaving. Now it is finally my turn! I'm so excited. 

Back to my Book of Mormon challenge -- I am in 3 Nephi, soon to be done. Genuinely the Book of Mormon is so fun to read. Like what Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ are so awesome like what. Well we got to go to the Temple today.  I didn't fall asleep during the endowment session -- shaboom. We had pizza before with all our teachers and it was so nice. And we met a Japanese person! She was so cute and talked to us for a bit. She's from Osaka so I could go where she is from. That's insane. Okay guys I'll respond back when I'm in Japan!! I'm so excited!! 

Also this week we taught our favorite girl Chalee for the last time. After we lowkey asked how were we and she had so many good things to say. I'm so happy for the opportunity I could have to teach her in English and become her friend!! I love her!

I' trying my best and I'm learning everyday. I can't wait to see how much I learn while I'm in Japan!!!

First 4 days in the MTC LOL and it's been so so fun!  My district is HIGHすき(ski) so awesome. My teachers are so chill and so spiritual. Last night in our 6-9 pm class we started out talking about Christ's names. Sasaki きょうだい (brother) said living water and he asked what that meant to us. Lowすきno one had good answers but then he explained it and everyone was like なに(whattttt)!!!! He started out with how we can't go three days without water so how can we go so long without Christ. Jesus is our water and with him -- we no longer thirst. Elder Smith asked a great question. He said, don't we need to keep "drinking" and sasaki said we will no longer want to thirst if we drink of Him one time. And that was insane. I had never thought of it that way. FEBRUARY 28, 2026 -- WEEK 6 FINALLY OVER!!

Week 6 hooray!!  Hello みなさん!!!  I've officially hit 6 weeks here, which is insane!! I feel so lucky to be a representative of Jesus Christ. Like, isn't that so awesome?  However I am sick of the food (everyone says they hate the beds, but I like them). Sunday, I sang at church!! I was lowkey very nervous, but it ended up being great lol. Our devotionals were good. Nothing new, but I do like the resource in the Gospel Library in the Book of Mormon where it shows all the references to topics. That is very helpful.  Tuesday night's devotion was very good. They talked about how it's okay to not know everything right now. That's why we are on earth right now to learn and grow!!!  Sister Harris has been saying it's not you + everything = Jesus. Its you + Jesus = everything. I need to be quicker at turning to Jesus. He literally is here to help us, so why am I so slow to ask for his help? He will make up the difference and magnify my effort 10x!!!  We got to host ...

JANUARY 24, 2026 -- GET ON YOUR KNEES

(Guys please I'm not very tech savvy and these phones suck so yes I am replying to this because its too hard to figure this out right now and I'm very late sending this.) You may be wondering why that's the title of this week's email, but there is an explanation LOL. During Monday's night class we started with a "game" and it was explaining to ささききょうだい how to drink water. He would only do the directions that were given. No one was able to get him to drink the water. During Elder Thompson's second turn ささき knocked over the water bottle and Thompson said get on your knees and everyone just died laughing. This does not do it justice, I swear. This week has been crazy though. We started full Japanese immersion. We had initiation with all the Japanese Districts and at the end, we counted down from 10 and now we can't speak English in class or even when we are in the T4 building.  Okay, this week was so weird  -- but awesome.
