FEBRUARY 21, 2026 -- WEEK FIVE

What does the Lord want me to recognize in my heart and mind?
Pray like everything depends on the Lord.
Work as if everything depends on me.

Hello my beloved friends and family. I have decided to write my days as they happen so you can have an actual email!! (I did this for Sunday and then forgot the rest of the week.  LOL)

Also, so sorry about all the typos from last weeks email. I'm sorry for the ones in here too!

Sunday 2/15:  Our alarms started going off this morning and usually Sister Houston turns mine off.  This morning she didn't, so I'm climbing down from the top and right.(I sleep on the top of a bunk bed.)  As I hit the ground, she turns it off. I just wanted to lay in bed for like five more minutes. Our church is at 8 am, so we got ready and went to church. Also Sister Houston made me conduct the music and boy I hated every second. And we have four songs not three. After we went to Relief Society and one thing I loved was a quote by I don't remember who, but it was "Pray like everything depends on the Lord, Work as if everything depends on Me." I won't get the gift of tongues just from praying but when I put the work in,I will. Then we did go and do. I studied about spiritual gifts. Shoutout Brother Uchtdorf. After we had our last devo for the night it was about a few things, but one thing that stood out to me was people really do watch and listen to us missionaries. They notice us everywhere we go. We we need to to act the part.

Monday: Today was a great day! We went on splits and exchanges lol. I was with Sister Baclayon, and we got to have Sister Douglass with us!! She's so cute.  I love her. We just talked and talked. She came to Japanese tutoring which she said was fun!! Then me and Sister Glassey totally forgot we had an HOA so we were stressing. We ended up asking Chalee if she wanted to be baptized and she said, yes. Which was insane. (Side note we totally know she's a member but it's still fun to know we've taught her.) After afternoon class, was chill we mogied faith. And it was fun but hard tbh. But then night class was so fun!! We played a game called ほうれんそう。which means spinach. I can't really explain but it was fun. Then we learned more about faith. And we mogied it. I said like faith is a seed, starts small but it grows. Its also like the wind. We can't see it but you can feel it. And you know it's there.

Tuesday: General Authourity Devotional today!!! It was exactly who I guessed. President Uchtdorf!! Which was insane. He talked about faith and hope. Earlier that day, I was reading in Moroni 7 verse 42 -- Wherefore, if a man have faith he must needs have hope; for without faith there cannot be any hope. He talked about that in his talk. How can we have hope for things to get better or whatever if we don't have the faith that they will. Boom

Wednesday: IT SNOWED!!! Today was so fun. We had tutoring then I ran to Building S1 to practice my song for Sunday. As we are practicing, it just starts snowing so much!!! We end and we go outside and play in it. It is so cute to see people play in the snow or see snow for the first time. I love it. Other than that i don't know what to say. Everyone is getting sick. #not me though. Staying safe.

Thursday: Thursday was Thursday. I don't remember lol.

Friday: Today we had so many things to do. I FINALLY GOT MY VISA!!! I'm going to Japan officially. But at the gym I lowkey hit Elder /thompson in the head with a pickleball and I felt so bad. But after we made up and everything was okay. We went to afternoon class and we talked a lot about different religions in Japan. In night class we switched it up and we spoke English for the last hour cause our teacher said we needed to talk about things. He said we need to invite the spirit more in class. But I think it is true. The only only way we can truly learn through the spirit.

Saturday: Today we had morning class. It was chill we basically just looked at menus and said how expensive things were. Then we went to the Temple. It was awesome!! I SAW MY OLD ROOMMATES!! AWW I JUST LOVE THEM SO MUCH!!

I didn't fall asleep this time and I was with my EFY counselor Tessa. She is so fun and sweet. Then we came back and did laundry. I also did my nails so fun. Then I practiced my song. I am lowkey singing on Sunday.   Kind of scared tbh. But then we went to dinner and I folded my laundry and went to the gym. We played four square and I met some fun missionaries going to Tahiti. Then we went to the computer lab and that is about it. Me and Thompson watched some of my old Harrisonville High School Cat Attacks it was interesting. I love p-day!!!

I'm hitting the week five blues. Nothing is bad it's just like let me leave. But I still have so much work to do. Everyday learning Japanese gets a bit harder. But I know I'm able to do it though Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ! Ether 12:27!!

Also, I am so sorry to everyone whose emails I did not respond to this week and last week. Please know that I read them and I love them. Please keep sending emails back!!  Mwahahah, I promise I will respond next week!!!

Trying my very best!
